Yom Kippur and The Quran

The Islamic "Yom Kippur"

While political events tend to emphasize the divisions between Jews and Muslims, for students of the Islamic past it is the uncanny similarities between the two religious traditions that continually arouse one's amazement. The resemblances extend to many areas of ritual and observance.

Muhammad, the founder of the Islamic faith, was in close contact with the affluent and influential Jewish tribes of Arabia (among whom were to be…

The History of Wearing Hijab VS Hijab and Secluding Face

As more and more Hebraic women begin to veil in hijabs, lets take time to see why so many criticize them as being Muslim.  Although veiling seems to be a distinctive emblem of Islam, the veil of one's face is, surprisingly, not enjoined upon…

When about fourteen years old, I joined the…

Spiritually connecting to Feast of First Fruits of Abib 16

The Feast of First Fruits of Abib 16 represents our first harvest for The Eternal's year. So we are commanded to give the first of this harvest to Our Heavenly Father. Israelites knew to bring in the first of their barley crops which they planted right before or near Yom Teruah and those crops grew from seeds to…

Prayer of the Day

Dear Khokmah (whom some call Holy Spirit),

Help us, lovely Heavenly Mother,
To put love where there is hatred

To put hope and faith where there is doubt

To put joy where there is discord

Please help me to heal my pain

Help me learn the spirit of forgiveness

Grant me your divine wisdom

So that I can love and be loved again.

I ask this in the Lady's name, so be it!

- Sirona Knight
