"Here, the days are coming,” says Adonai, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra’el and with the house of Y’hudah. 31 (32) It will not be like the covenant I made with their fathers on the day I took them by their hand and brought them out of the land of Egypt; because they, for their part, violated my covenant, even though I, for my part, was a husband to them,” says Adonai. 32 (33) “For this is the covenant I will make with the house of Isra’el after those days,” says Adonai: “I will put my Torah within them and write it on their hearts; I will be their God, and they will be my people. 33 (34) No longer will any of them teach his fellow community member or his brother, ‘Know Adonai’; for all will know me, from the least of them to the greatest; because I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more.”
What is meant by these blessed words from Jeremiah from our Eternal Elohim?
Our Brother Femi responded in blue, I retorted in red. Let us reason together my beloved Yisrael.
Which Torah was to be written on God's people's hearts? The entire Torah of Moses as claimed by some spiritually blind Pharisees? After giving the TEN WORDS /COMMANDMENTS, following the people's request that Moses should bring FURTHER COMMANDMENTS from Yahweh, Yahweh promised this: " I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their kinsmen. I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I order him. "Deuteronomy 18: 18.
First break... please tell me where did Israel ask for more commandments from YHWH via Moshe. Do not forget that Torah commandments began before Yisrael ever left Egypt. YHWH been commanding them all along but on Sinai, he gave them the very focused Debarim.
Notice, in addition to the ten commandments, the other commands given Moses were to be OBSERVED IN THE LAND UNTIL this prophet comes with WORDS /COMMANDMENTS from Yahweh, as promised.
You said until but no until... when YHWH says forever... if it was until, the Yahusha would not have kept them himself. Why did Yahusha (Jesus) keep each and every commandment as given to Moshe from Exodus through Deuteronomy?
So, the Torah to be written is the commandments Yeshua the Messiah brought IN ADDITION TO THE TEN COMMANDMENTS. Please, note this: ONLY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS WERE INSCRIBED ON STONE TABLETS.
The Commandments all of them were inscribed on sacred scrolls and also on plates, according to some archeological sources.
However, the covenant of Sinai was made up of the ten commandments and every other commands given through Moses, Deuteronomy 29: 1. So, it is wrong to think that the covenant of Sinai was ONLY THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, because other commandments were added to it. In fact, when Moses was ratifying the covenant WITH THE BLOOD OF ANIMALS, he read ALL the commands given in Exodus 21 - 23, in addition to the ten commandments (see Exodus 24: 1 - 8 ).
I believe the commandments began in the 12th chapter of Exodus.
Yeshua included the ten commands in his own Torah given him by Yahweh. The new covenant is unlike that of Sinai: for the fact that you have a part of the old covenant in the new doesn't make them the same. For example, the command that YOU SHALL HAVE NO OTHER ELOHIM BEFORE ME didn't start with Moses! It was part of the covenant made with Abraham. Yet, the covenant of Sinai was NOT THE SAME with THE covenant made with Abraham.
Are you saying there was NOAHACT LAWS and then there were TORAH. Well, I contend that everything in life have evolution and our Torah was a result of our Hebraic History from Genesis through Debarim.
Yahweh reiterated the fact that he will be the Elohim of his people.
3. Yahweh also promised that by forgiving his people's sins THEY WILL ALL KNOW HIM.
When Yahweh said: " I will forgive their wickednesses and remember their sins no more ", he was hinting at the fact THAT THERE WON'T BE NEED FOR BURNT AND SIN OFFERINGS, ETC! That is unmistakable!
How do you jump to these conclusions? Please keep scripture in context of what is being stated.
Hinting.... no way YAHWEH never hinted about no need for burnt offering, in fact my ELOHIM speaks never hints... He is an ELOHIM that makes it plain. No double tongue speaking Elohim. He would never tell us to do something for all generations and then not want it done later.
18 All the males among the children of Aaron shall eat of it. It shall be a statute for ever in your generations concerning the offerings of the Lord made by fire: every one that toucheth them shall be holy.
Those who can't decipher that are completely blind!
Let me add this: if Yeshua had come to maintain the covenant of Sinai in its entirety with his blood, then how could he be called a priest - Zechariah 6: 13, Psalm 110: 4?
It's unthinkable that these blind Pharisees who wanna hold onto Yeshua and the covenant of Sinai can't sense that the law belonging to the covenant of Sinai only allowed ANIMAL SACRIFICES and not human sacrifice! Yeshua established a new covenant WITH HIS OWN BLOOD - this signals something unique!
"Here, the days are coming,” says Adonai, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Isra’el and with the house of Y’hudah."
Does new covenant mean the standing covenant is now voided or does it mean the standing covenant is restored. I think this is where our readers misunderstand. The Eternal divorced Yisrael and now Yehudah broke the covenant with The Eternal. Neither were covered and both needed to be recovered by His Covenant. So this New Covenant is the standing Covenant but in order that Yisrael never break it again, this time it will be a covenant that will be placed in their hearts, minds and soul for only when it is spiritually understood and embraced can it be properly implemented.
So my dear family, Yahusha was not sent to change anything not one jot or tiddle from the Covenant of YHWH but he was sent to help Yisrael received the Covenant in our hearts and in our minds and in our spirits and only then can we be forgiven and know that we shall not sin again. Only then can we live with our Abba forever but how do we get this Covenant or Torah in our hearts, in our minds and in our spirits? Now do we see how we ourselves in this state is related to Zechariah 6: 13, Psalm 110: 4? HalleluYAH!
